Our mission at Shortlist Shop is to make shopping simpler and more intentional. Because we only include high-quality and non-toxic products that our family has bought, used, and loved, we help busy families to skip the frustrating parts of online shopping.
To help fund our work and maintain this website, we participate in affiliate marketing programs. This means we may earn a commission when you purchase products through certain links. We share this to be fully transparent about our financial relationships, although to be clear, unlike other affiliates, we will never first obtain a product for free before including it on our website. All products on our website were purchased out-of-pocket and enjoyed by our family before being listed.
What is an Affiliate Link?
Across the Shortlist Shop website, you’ll find product and service recommendations that include hyperlinks. Some of these are affiliate links, meaning that if you click through and make a purchase, we may earn a small commission from the retailer.
Using the affiliate link to purchase the item does not add any extra cost to you. Some retailers have provided us with discount codes to share with you, such that your cost can be lower than the original listed price. The price you pay for the product or service is either lower (with discount code) or the same whether or not you use our affiliate link.
Commitment to Integrity
One of the factors that makes Shortlist Shop different is our off-the-charts commitment to honesty. When you use our website to shop, you can be confident that the items were curated with integrity.
- Top Quality and Non-Toxic: All products have passed our family’s ‘real family’ test, and all physical products have at least one non-toxic label such as “MADE SAFE®” or “Greenguard Certified.”
- Selected with Integrity: We’re transparent that our storefront operates on affiliate revenue. However, we will never include a product we didn’t first buy ourselves, didn’t use, or didn’t like. We go so far as refusing free products from retailers because then we can’t include them on our website!
- Quality over Quantity: A maximum of three high-quality items will be provided per product type to simplify the shopping experience.
